The Cost of Counselling
The Gloucestershire Counselling Service is a non profit making Registered Charity and relies on client fees for its income. Our aim is to make counselling affordable according to one’s ability to pay and no one is excluded from counselling because they cannot afford the full cost of counselling.
There is an initial fee of
£46 for individuals
£56 for couples.
£48 for children, families and young people
This initial fee includes Registration, Allocation and the initial Assessment meeting and all associated administration. It is possible to fill in the Registration Forms and pay online with either a credit or debit card or paypal.
The registration fee which covers administration and your initial assessment appointment is non refundable.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.
The ongoing counselling fee will be discussed at the initial consultation but will be decided and agreed between you and your counsellor at the first session. The cost for us to provide each counselling session is
£46 (Child and Family Counselling)
£66 (Child and Family Psychotherapy)
However, we aim to make the counselling affordable for everyone and you will only be asked to pay what you can realistically afford.
For Child and Family Counselling and Psychotherapy we are also able to help those whose income is very restricted. Please contact us for details.
When we receive your application, we will contact you, usually within 48 hours, to arrange the initial consultation.
Our services are in regular demand and we make every effort to accommodate those seeking counselling as quickly as possible.
